I started deejaying on Sydney's Oxford Street in 2002. I played predominantly in the gay clubbing scene, and I was fortunate enough to play at some of Sydney's finest venues, the likes of Home Sydney, Midnightshift and ARQ, as well as large-scale events such as Sydney Mardi Gras Party, which opened the door for playing outside of Australia including Atlantis Cruises and Happy in Singapore.

I relocated to Singapore in 2008 to pursue new opportunities. I adapted to playing more bar groove in both mixed and gay scenes. My key residencies there were Truffle Thursdays at PS.Cafe and CÉ LA VI Singapore. What I enjoyed the most during that time was having more variety in my gigs from rooftop sundown sets to guest slots at clubs and special events, because that led me to try and play different styles.

In 2023 I made another sea change and moved back to my native Nagoya. Changing the environment and meeting new people has reminded me of starting fresh in Sydney and Singapore. Playing at Nagoya Rainbow Pride in 2024 was a total full-circle moment. I'm so excited to be playing in Sydney during Mardi Gras, Tokyo Disco Parfait in Hakuba and Nagoya Rainbow Pride in 2025.

It wasn't long after I started deejaying when I got into making my own mashups and re-edits. In the early days I used to have this weird habit of hearing dance tracks and singing random songs over the instrumental part, mostly it happened when I was on the dance floor with friends but sometimes while I was playing. I would make them on my computer and test them out in my sets.

Some of my mashups can be heard on my soundcloud but I've had a few of them taken down for copyright infringement. So I decided to start my own page to share some of the better ones and tell a little story behind them. I will also be sharing some of the DJ mixes and maximixes (extended mash-up of songs by the same artist) that I did over the years.

There are two very special people I would like to thank as I launch this blog. An incredibly talented DJ and a great friend, Paul Goodyear (a.k.a. SanFranDisko) who has given me continuous support and encouragement since the early days. And, my husband who supports me unconditionally and pushes me to make and get more stuff out. Thank you for being there.
